Ready For The Holidays

It is Wednesday morning and there is a bit of a chill in the air. It is beginning to feel a little like Christmas, are you ready? Are those wood floors looking a little scuffed or scratched? Or perhaps you are thinking of treating yourself this year with some new flooring. Regardless, it is not too late to get your flooring needs completed before all of those Holiday guests start arriving.

Cleaning you hardwood floor

We often get asked how to maintain the beauty of a hardwood floor, it's easy. A simple rule of thumb, never use anything on your floor that you wouldn't use on your windows, i.e. no products that contain oil. Daily dust mopping or sweeping or vacuuming without a beater bar. If damp mopping, be sure mop has been rung out to the point of barely being damp. If you wish, a drop or 2 of dawn dish detergent may be added to the mop water. Cleaning prducts may be used as long as they specify that they are for a urethane finished floor, i.e. Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaner.
