High Heels and Holiday Parties, NO!

As the holidays approach and parties are in the planning, no doubt some of your female guests will be wearing heels. High heels or spiked heels are damaging to hardwood flooring. They strike the floor with more force per inch than an elephant's foot. High or spiked heels in disrepair are especially harmful, as the heel's nail head acts like a tiny hammer pounding the floor with as much as 10,000 pounds per inch force! Consider yourself warned.

Recent Concrete Overlay Project

We recently completed some work for friends of ours at The Oasis Ministry in downtown St. Louis. This ministry assists new immigrants in the St. Louis Area with all types of assistance. It is a very worthwhile cause, check out their website at www.oasisinternational.info . Check out facebook for a picture of the work.

Possible damage from steam cleaners

We often get asked our opinion of the steam cleaners on the market for wood floors. This article from the Hardwood Floors Magazine earlier this year may clear it up for you.
